The EU must be capturing and storing 300 million tonnes of CO₂ annually by 2050, according to the European Commission. But while the USA and Canada are now investing heavily in CCS, within Europe only in Norway is CO₂ being captured and permanently stored. Almost every EU Member State will need CCS to curb CO₂ emissions from industrial processes, but most have still not adopted a strategy to make it happen. There will be no net-zero without CCS.

Join us as we mark the launch of Carbon Capture and Storage Europe (CCS Europe), a new campaign group calling for urgent deployment of CCS to curb CO₂ emissions from industrial sources and to reduce CO₂ already within the atmosphere.
