CCS Europe is calling on the European Commission to take decisive action on CCS to ensure the competitiveness of hard-to-abate industries and accelerate industrial decarbonization.
In a letter to President von der Leyen, we urge the Commission:
- To develop an EU CCS Action Plan,
- To appoint a dedicated CCS envoy,
- To set clear CO₂ storage targets for Member States.
Strong leadership and policy clarity are essential to attract investment, reduce emissions, and secure Europe's position as a leader in CCS technology.
