On 11 February, CCS Europe, alongside 40 organisations from across European industrial and manufacturing sectors, research, think tanks and civil society, has co-signed a joint statement calling on the Commission to include stronger lead market measures for low-carbon products in its upcoming Industrial Accelerator Act. The joint statement urges the European Commission to strengthen the Industrial Accelerator Act by creating clear and mandatory requirements for low-carbon products and highlights the need to broaden sector coverage, ensure predictable standards, and combine public and private demand to accelerate industrial decarbonisation and support Europe’s net-zero transition.
