On 26 March, CCS Europe's director Chris Davies hosted a Webinar on #CCS and funding opportunities to bring CCS up to scale.
It has been proven time and time again that the carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies are necessary to effectively fight climate change. The IPCC reports show that decarbonisation will require negative emissions globally, while the EU formally established the role of CCS in addressing emissions from hard-to-abate sectors in its Industrial Carbon Management Strategy.
Scale up of CCS to the degree required to ensure decarbonisation will require substantial investment in the coming years. The EU already offers multiple pots of funding that can be used by industry, but identifying which one to go for and how to apply remains a confusing topic for many.
