As the Operator of the Greek National Natural Gas System, DESFA plays a crucial role in safely operating and developing a modern, innovative energy infrastructure across Greece. With a team of highly skilled experts and cutting-edge technology, DESFA provides top-tier services in gas transportation, LNG storage, and regasification.

DESFA is also leading the charge in advancing the creation of the CCS value chain. With extensive experience in the construction, maintenance, and operation of transmission systems and cryogenic facilities, DESFA aims to pioneer the CCS market and play a decisive role in its development. Through the APOLLOCO₂ PCI project, DESFA is set to develop the first large-scale midstream CCS infrastructure in Southeast Europe. The project will capture CO2 from local emitters in Greece, transporting it via a pipeline network to a central liquefaction terminal, before shipping it to to Prinos or other Mediterranean Storage facilities.
