Politico's podcast delves into the crucial role of carbon capture and storage technologies in achieving net zero emissions.

CCS Europe Director, Chris Davies attended the podcast and once again stressed the importance of CCS deployment in the hard-to-abate industries to achieve the net-zero targets. Companies have to make use of this technology as it exists at the moment to curb unavoidable CO2 emissions during production processes.

Member States are increasingly viewing CCS as an additional solution to reducing national emissions. For instance, remarkable progress has been made on cross-boarder CO2 transport and injection development between Belgium and Denmark.

CCS Europe advocates for more project developments in the EU. There is a business case nowadays to invest in CCS projects as free carbon allowances are being reduced.
